TIL Asoos or Ace-us?

So this is just a bored at work kind of post. So before I watched LTT 4 years ago I think it was, around the time they moved into the place they're in now, I always pronounced it as Ace-US but hearing Linus pronounce it as ASOOS was kind of odd, so what is the correct way to say it? Are there other tech words that people always say wrong like Data? I pronounce it as Dat-uh but some people pronounce it Date-uh?

In my native tongue I pronounce it as 'Ahh-shush'. As not to confuse it with Acer.

When talking English, I would pronounce "Ay-Soos".

It's Ay-soos. Ace-us (spelled Asics) is actually a brand of shoe.

i usually say ey-soos but when too many people don't understand me i say ace-us

Asus takes it's name from the pegasus,  so unless you call it a pegasoos, it's pronounced  arse us or ass us.

If it's derive from Pegasus then I can see how it can get pronounced a bunch of different ways by English speakers that is most certainly different from a Greek pronunciation. This reminds me of people debating how to say the aircraft manufacturer Embraer, which is just shorthand for "Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica". Most people say "em-brayer" but if you read it phonetically from what it would be more like "em-bra-er" where the r's have a single rolled sound and sound more like a softened d.
