Weird BSOD and power off issue

Hi everyone.

I recently ran into a strange issue with my PC and I can't figure out what is causing it.

 

First things first, PC specs:

Ryzen 3 2200g

2x4GB Hyperx Fury 2933MHz

ASRock b450m-hdv r4.0

Kingston A400 120GB SSD

300W LC-Power 80+ Bronze PSU

Windows 10 Home 1903 64bit

 

The other day I turned the PC on and browsed the web and after about 3-5 minutes it BSOD'd with the "KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE" error message. I looked the error up online and saw that it is most likely RAM, SSD, driver conflict or software conflict (maybe worth mentioning that at the time I had a 1TB external drive connected). I ran Windows' memory diagnostics which said nothing was wrong, "sfc /scannow" that found errors but fixed them, "chkdsk C : /f" that didn't find anything wrong.

I turned on the PC the next day and played Rocket League for 2 hours without issues, which made me think the BSOD was a one time software conflict.

I turned it on one day later and after a few minutes on the desktop it shut itself off (as if the power went out) and turned itself on immediately after. Now this made me think it's a PSU issue. I checked all fans (most importantly PSU and CPU) and they were all spining. I launched Rocket League to see if maybe the PSU would get hot or if the fan would stop spinning but it was blowing cold air for the entire 90 minutes of me playing the game (again, without issues).

So I'm kind lf lost of what could be wrong. It BSOD'd and shut off minutes after being powered on, sitting nearly idle, but when under load (playing games for example) it does fine.

 

I have enabled mini dumps since, but haven't gotten another BSOD so I have no dmp files to attach to my post.

And the mobo BIOS is still the same version that it came with and I'm afraid of updating it in case it turns itself off again.

I have done no OC's so CPU and memory are running at stock.

Windows is up to date (except for the optional 1909 update).

 

One more thing that crossed my mind was, that maybe I was overloading the power outlet, as I have the TV, modem/router, TV box, Chromecast, external HDD and PC all plugged into the same outlet using multiple power extenders/splitters. But that kind of doesn't make sense since it crashed/powered off when idle (drawing the least amount of power), but did ok when under load.
