DS2 Not Running at set resolution?

Hey guys, so I'm rocking a LG 34GK950F, and decided to play some Dark Souls 2. Now my game boots, and the ingame resolution is set to 3440x1440p, but it's not actually that. It looks like it's sitting at normal 1440p. Is that just because it's an older game and not supported? It just has me a little confused because it has the option for 3440x1440

i had to fix it myself with flawless widescreen a long wile ago and some modding as far as i remember.

Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately DS2 was not VAC secured, and they resecured it with VAC, and the HUD part of the plugin apparently puts you at risk of getting a VAC ban.
