I'm currently using a 2700X at stock with the wraith prism, don't plan on oc'ing but i have a very air restricted case Cooler Master MasterBox 3.1 Lite but my 2700x temps go to about 83 degrees or more on load in a game like far cry 5 or any game released in 2018 or newer but don't want to have to constantly reach down to my case just to take the front panel off. I was thinking if i should get a Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120R RGB Liquid cooler to bring the temps down? Previously i owned a 6700K and used a nepton 120XL cooler master liquid cooler for that and the temps were great even with the bad airflow coming into the case. I mostly chosen this cooler specifically to fit the whole cooler master theme i guess? Thanks

I have a 2600x with a 120mm aio, and i dont usually hit higher than 60 during game play. Things to keep in mind however is #1 my front panel is off with 3 120mm fans #2 all unnecessary holes are covered in tape #3 my gpu is a 1060 3gb so im not exactly fully using my cpu #4 my room is pretty cool, like 62 farenheit cool.

Best advice I could give is to be thought out and creative. Nothing beats logic.

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

Wow, 83 under game load is insane. Your sure the thermal paste spread well, and the CPU fan is plugged into the CPU Fan header and is not on some "silent" mode in the BIOS? Under full synthetic load that would 100% be over 100c if its hitting 83c in a game. That seems a bit crazy.

If those things are all correct, and that is indeed how how its getting, yes, I think a dual 120 rad water cooler may be a good idea.

Mounting pressure is key to good cooling. What are your idle temps?

You sure you have adequate airflow inside the case?

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

I can see the Intake air flow is pretty bad, so I found this on reddit:

Hell, I just have two 92mm fans, one for intake and one for exhaust, and to get things cool enough I cut a hole in my OEM Acer front panel and installed a 120mm fan filter over it.  So a little front panel modification may help a lot and can still look fine or better on your case.

Seems normal considering the case.

Do temps get any higher with a synthetic load like OCCT?

If they peak at 83c and no more, that's fine.

It would be better to invest into another case with more airflow than buying another cooler. If your motherboard supports newer Ryzen CPU and you plan to upgrade the CPU, you will likely run into the same problem. If you can mount the fans inside of the case just leave the front cover off.
