5700 or rtw 2060 vs 1080 ti

Vincent Coucke

So, iam looking to upgrade my current 1050 ti with something newer and more capable. My cpu is the i7 6900k. I was looking around and i found a 5700 for €300 and an rtx 2060 for €320. Then out of curiosity i started looking at second hand gpu's and i found a 1080 ti for €350. The guy told me that if i want to, i can test the card at his place before buying it to make sure it works. My question to you is:which one is better value and are there any important features that the 1080ti lacks that the newer cards have?

Other than RTX and all of the things that come along with that, the 1080Ti will not lack any features that the user would need. I'd say 1080Ti all the way, this card beats the RTX 2080 in most games, it's still a beast.

5700 beats the 2060 (see vid for timestamp). A 1080Ti is roughly a 2070 Super/2080 in raw performance, and that looks like an amazing deal to me. I would go the 1080Ti if it was me.

Thanks for the tips, i now have a 1080ti strix spinning in my system crunching every game i play on ultra at 1440p. I thought it would be nice to know that helping out on the forum really helps people out.
