RTX 2060 Super Founders freezes and crashes, Nvidia Denied warranty

uncfan07

I purchased an RTX 2060 Super founders card on ebay from a reputable seller with 100% feedback. I received the card in original box and installed in my system. I tried loading up Modern Warfare and every so often the game would crash and i would get dev erros. I thought that it was just the game and many others were having issues so i just stopped playing for a while.

Fast forward a few weeks and after many updates I was still having issues playing the game. I decided to try other games out and while playing APex Legends the game would crash a few seconds into gameplay and i would get an error message that the graphics card was suddenly removed. I then tried Destiny 2 and got error code broccoli which is similar to Apex. I then downloaded Kombuster and it would crash and artifact 30 seconds into the benchmark.

I contacted Nvidia to get an RMA for the card and they said that since i wasnt the original owner that they would not replace the card. The card just came out in July and i find it crazy that they will not replace the card. I am trying to get a return on Ebay but its past the 30 day return window. Did i just lose $400? Anyone else having issues with the RTX founders cards?

I have used DDU and reinstalled the drivers multiple times and also did a fresh install of windows. I am running a Ryzen 2600, 16gb ddr4 3000 Tforce rgb ram, aorus b450i pro wifi motherboard.

.

since you bought it from a random ebay seller, this isn't really on nvidia, but if you paid with paypal you can try filing a dispute for a defective product.

Just why didn't you test the card properly after receiving it?

Why would they replace the card? You bought it second-hand.

A warranty for an item is tied to the product not the owner. Therefore if you bought it second hand, I think you just need the receipt or whatever else document from the original purchase.

Don’t see how this is a card issue. I’ve had the same problems with mw

Doesnt sound like an nvidia problem either. Take it up with eBay.

because most pc part manufactures have a general warranty that goes by the serial number and doesnt matter who owns it
