Interesting thought I had today; Microsoft has said they have no interesting in making a first party VR headset(like PSVR).  It would be amazing for VR if they put a displayport port on the console and allowed you to used a normal PC VR headset.  It's going to be powerful enough to play any VR game on a Vive, Index, Rift, or a Mixed Reality headset.  It would be the least expensive system that the most people will have in their homes that would be able to play VR. It would be a huge boom for the VR market.

I'm not eXcited for the system that looks like two gamecubes glued together. It's also not a PC, sorry Linus. It's an Android/Apple like device; What's a PC anyway?

Not so enamoured by the shape, but once it is in place you tend to forget they are there until you need to put a disc in anyway.

 

The fact Xone controllers (including the rather expensive Elite ones and racing wheels) will carry over is a big plus, saves buying new controllers and adding extra ones is fairly affordable as a result.

 

The backwards compatibility and the scaling support is nice (ie, games will work on Xbox One S/X, Longhorn and Anaconda and graphics detail will scale according to one statement from Spencer).

 

I'll probably hold off for a while getting one, the original Xone I have does well enough for now for what it gets used for (light gaming and Plex most of the time) and my partner has a XoneX as well. As is usual it is not financially best to be early adopters of consoles IME.

Current gen PC is 1000 time more powerful then Xbox series X.

honestly i hate the design of it, ill probably hold off.. i got a one x that does 4k gaming and streaming.. itll tide me over for a good while

Let's just say I will be pre-ordering when it becomes an option. I'm hoping to pre-order a PS5 as well though.
