Phanteks P400S front panel mod

So I was thinking about modding my front panel to get better airflow in the case but tbh I never done it before so not even sure how to get start with it or what kind of tools I’ll need, any advice will be appreciated. Below pic of rough concept (don’t laugh I’m not good at sketching )

Out of curiosity, are you doing this for the enjoyment of modding, or are you looking to simply improve airflow. If it's the latter option, Phanteks now offers the P400A front panel which is filled with mesh holes for better ventilation, purchasable seperately (in either black or white). 

 

If you're in it for the mod, I'd personally cut most of the front panel off (either in a rectangular pattern using a dremel and a rotary cutting blade, or using a hole saw like I did for RGB Build 2019

I've seen a few people that took the front panel off and took it to a CNC shop to cut in custom designs that also improved airflow. It wouldn't be a total DIY job but you could do some cools stuff.

this is probably your best bet

if you want that many holes, and you want to line them up nicely you're gonna want to do it CNC. if you do this by hand it is not going to turn out good looking.

Yeah even the a steady hand with a dremel isn't going to be nearly as quality as a CNC.

A bit of both probably, airflow in this case is not ... amazing , but I like to do most of the things by myself so I was thinking about modding it by myself. I know they released just the front panel from P400A, it’s available in here in UK so that’s not a problem but I wanted to try to do it myself if possible.

 If I found some service near me which can do it I’ll take it over there definitely, I thought it may be difficult to cut so many hols straight without messing up. If not I found something simpler which should be easy to replicate

Yeah a simple mod like that would work.

 

But any good CNC shop would not have any issues cutting in an intricate design.
