1080p 60-120+ fps GPU

Hi, i need to decide what GPU to buy for stable 1080p gaming experience for at least 5 years, I've been thinking about 2060 super, but is it really necessary to buy such expensive card for 1080p?

the DXR capabilities of a 2060 super isn't gonna last that long, so you are better off just buying a 5700 or 5700 XT, 5 years is a long time, so no guarantees.

 

the gtx 970, which was a 1080p card when released 5 years ago, doesn't hold up in new titles, and that was a 350usd card on launch.

Depending on what you play, you might be able to do 1080p Ultra with a 2060 Super (or RX 5700) just fine.

This is just a couple games at 1080p ultra:

As you can see, these specific games have the 2060S hit the 120fps mark (just like the RX 5700, although some games prefer Nvidia). At 'high' instead of 'ultra' it will do even better.

Yeo, about that much. We're talking 5 years, when reviewers say "this GPU is good for blah blah blah" they refer to current games only. 1060 6GB for example, was deemed "as good as you need for 1080p 60fps for every game". Now it wont even play RDR2 at 60fps without low settings

If you're willing to spend 400 dollars, I absolutely recommend you radeon rx 5700 xt. It's a lot better than the Rtx 2060 Super at the same price and even better than the 2070 in some games.
