Install Windows Server 2019 on USB

SilentKagemusha

I can find a plethora of information about creating a boot usb for installation, which I already know how to do, but I am trying to install windows server 2019 on a usb. I want to run the OS from the usb using the internal usb port on the motherboard of the Dell TowerEdge T710 that I just got for free. Any and all helpful information is most welcome!

It's faster to get a job, get some cash, buy an ssd and use that compared to just installing the damn thing.

Not talking about actually using it, just installing.

Have some updates? Expect it to take 24 hours (yea actual 24 hours, not just a day like 10-12 hours)

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

I run my own IT company, and this is just to play around with. I have a spare 256GB USB 3.0 flash drive just lying around so why not.

Well I don't know if server 2019 works, but windows 10 should work.

Most of those, the internal USB stick should show up as a standard drive letter, so installing to it should be fine (if very very slow)

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.
