best budget ssd ?

looking to buy a 250 ish gb ssd, been out of the tech scene since the gtx970 and devils canyon era so things have come a ways since then lol, looking for something not too expensive but also not garbage, just going to be putting one in a cheap laptop to resell and one in my older laptop for school to hopefully keep it going for another year or two

Silicon Power makes affordable ssd's. They have gotten cheaper as a whole though.

I trusted only few brands - Samsung, Crucial (except cheapest bx serie), Adata and SanDisk.

I went with addlink s70, seems to be the best value of the current bunch of pcie 3.0 drives according to all the reviews.

Don't buy the cheapest available SSDs,  they're often buggy and longevity is awful. 

 

Crucial MX500 is about the cheapest "quality"  SSD you can get.

ended up buying a 500gb mx500 for my school laptop and a cheap kingston a400  250gb for the one im going to sell
