Thinking of upgrading displays

Currently have one AOC 24' 1080p 60Hz 1ms monitor (not sure what the exact model is).

 

Found a good deal online for a 27' 1440p 155Hz 0.4ms monitor and am considering getting it (along with upgrading my 1070 to a RX 5700 XT)

 

I noticed on the specs however, that it's a TN panel, and I've heard that TN panels generally are quite bad, and so I was wondering if this monitor would be a good investment or not?

TN isn't bad, it just trades lower price with colour reproduction. They are perfect competitive gaming monitors.

 

but buying 1440p monitors mean you also want quality, so this monitor may not be so good for you.

TN I'd say no to. That just me though.

IPS are expensive I know, maybe VA better for price as of right now with all you're looking for.

 

27" I'd recommend AOC GQ27G1 I'm using his bigger brohter the 32 and it's very nice. Colors and settings also freesync (also g-sync compatible)

 

Also trying dell S3220DGF and ASUS XQ27VQ

I could get a 27' 1440p 144hz monitor from Samsung for a similar price that has a VA panel. Only downside is that it is 4ms (however, I'm not super competitive so delay isn't THAT important).

 

Would you recommend this over the ASUS?

Samsung I personally never had but hear and read good things. Also the one I mentioned is curved so if you're not in to that then yes Samsung. You'll be happy either way I'm sure.
