no problem with oc i  beleive i finally will get the matrix casue it has a better cooling and feature for cooling. Easier to oc. It seems that the 10 eur are worth it? right?

what will be the temp to 1160 mhz?

Just made a test for you ^^ At 1160MHz without touching the voltage I'm getting 75 Celsius on Tomb Raider Maxed out. Mind you that my airflow isn't that great, and my ambient temperature is 26 Celsius.

Yeah. I have 1 intake and 2 exhausts. My PSU is kinda big and I can't put a fan on the bottom to blow air into the GPU. So I'm going to buy a new case soon so I can keep it cooler and do some mad OCing. I know that temps under 90 celsius are not bad for a GPU, but I don't want to get it above 80..... just to be sure :D

I would check if the matrix clock is locked. I know the second release of the 7970 matrix was. I would go matrix because it is a better cooler

GET. THE. CHEAPEST. 280X. DEAR LORD HOW MANY TIMES CAN @helping, and @LukaP TELL YOU, THE CHEAPEST IS ALWAYS THE BEST OPTION.

Sorry for raging, but come on. I know from experience that the cheapest is pretty much the best option. you will get maybe 5% better kh/s for 20% more money on premium cards.

I cannot stress enough that reading things is the key to knowledge.

You ask questions to clarify, not to learn.

I couldn't agree more.

I saw this thread in the most recent stuff, and after reading it, I am completely confused on which the direction this is going and the non-attentiveness of certain peoples.

You have no idea about mining and what cards do. First of all, never look at the "out of the box" specs. They are pretty useless.
You have to tweak cards, if I overclock my cards more then I currently am on, it means lower hashrate. I am pretty sure I did not find the ultimate settings for my cards yet, but for now they are doing fine.

Out of my 280x Toxic I could get 800+ khash when it was in my gaming system.

In my mining PC it's sadly not able to get more then 750~. This is likely caused by the CPU.

Here are my current settings for my toxic on a different algorytm.

Where I am getting 350kh out of it. If I go any higher, low with anything the hashrate drops under 300.

Temp: 74.0 C
Fan Speed: 45% (2181 RPM)
Engine Clock: 1000 MHz
Memory Clock: 1450 Mhz
Vddc: 1.200 V
Activity: 99%
Powertune: 20%

As indeed many said, get the cheapest card you can get. Then you have to tweak it.

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

Build Log: Phantom - Antique Noctua
