Which case to buy?

Cheeky Bugger

I want a new case and these 2 caught my eye, priced the same,i've been using a really crappy small case and cable managment has been a major issue for me and airflow is non existent.

1. Case - COOLER MASTER MasterBox MB520 RGB

2. Case - Sharkoon TG4 RGB

I personally would go for case 2 just from a design pov. Case 1 looks kinda ugly. How well they perform regarding airflow and cable management, idk.

I can speak from experience in the one month i owned the Masterbox MB520 that it is one of the worst cases I have ever used (I have had worse cases, but they all costed like 20 or 30 bucks, so i got what i paid for) . Yes it has RGB, but the design allows virtually no airflow through the tiny vents on the side. Whatever air DOES get through though, is almost completely unfiltered as the mesh is super coarse. It could at best block some hair from going in, but dust streaks appeared on the side beside the fans just over a week after i had it. The ARCYLIC front got easily scratched and lasted a matter of 10mins before it got scuffed while building. Cable management is OK, nothing exceptional.

The fact that i no longer use the case shows how i feel about it.

But this case retails for 85USD on newegg. for $5 more you are much better off getting a Fractal Design Meshify C TG which goes for 90USD, and IMO looks alot better.

This is becasue they mounted the fans in the front of the rails for the "unobstructed RGB look" which minimizes the effectiveness of those side vents

Sound like you dont have the case anymore, but I'd put money on that if you were to move the fans to the "inside" of the case (on the opposite side of the rails) that you would see cooler temps, because the fans can now leverage the side vents to pull more air in.

However, this is one thing the TG5 version gets right, which is why I recommend it over the TG4 version (unless you're okay with moving the fans yourself,)

So on the TG4 you can move the fans on the opposite side of the rails to get the same effect like TG5 has?
