Moonzy

looking to pair an r9 3900x with the x570 tuf, will the VRM handle the cpu well?

In the $200 range it's one of the best you can get

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

For its price point. There are a good bit of better boards.

No not really.  According to Buildzoid it's almost a dead-heat in the $200 board space between the Gigabyte Aorus Elite and the ASUS TUF.  He approves of the VRM on both.  The only knock on the TUF he notes is that it has non-Intel LAN (Realtek) meanwhile the Gigabyte BIOS may be a tad less fancy.  Not to mention the TUF is on sale in the US Market and can be found for sale for as low as $165.

Also worth checking out the Gigabyte Aorus Elite and the very impressive ASUS Prime P. But yeah, the TUF is great as well. It's all down to looks and features between these three.

Basically the rule this year is..don't buy MSI. That's all you need to know.

Rubbish VRM's on the low-end x570 boards.

The VRM's are garbage until you get to the UNIFY and ACE which are $300-ish. The UNIFY is good for the price if you want a board with no rgb. The ACE is okay..but VRM's get beaten out slightly by the Hero, Master etc.. And the godlike is beaten in every single aspect pretty much by the Aorus Xtreme so..

Nice! And for case fans?

using NZXT N450, 3 front intake, one rear and one top exhaust

no directed airflow over VRM though

Hi there.
I am about to purchase my new machine.
Fractal Meshify C 170mm cooling clearance.
I think i gone choose the 3900x because the new 3950x will be much expensive for my budget. At least i think it will be when release here in Portugal.
Nevertheless, i am around here to ask for a good x570 mobo to attach one of those CPUs.
Have seen Buildzoid to on YouTube to about mobo review.

I will add a 4x16 G.Skills TridentZ 3200Mhz CL14
Need to find a good air cooler from Noctua but worried about Ram clearance.

Need to decide between those.
Asus Tuf x570 Plus wifi
Asus Rog Strix x570 Gaming-E
Gigabyte x570 Aorus Ellte wifi
Gigabyte x570 Aorus Ultra
Asrock x570 Taichi (i do not like this Bios interface)

Any thoughts about it please.
Cheers
