CPU cooler height

Hi,

I was thinking about switching out my stock amd cooler to a dark rock slim or dark rock 4, but I'm worried that it wouldn't fit my Cooler Master MB500 case.
Is there anyone with this case/cooler setup? :D

Write email to cooler master and ask them on what setup they are testing the cooler height, but i don't think this is important, the difference in height would be negligible between LGA/PGA, maybe 2mm max. I think you should be fine.

The spec is from the socket to the side panel. Basically, there should be enough height if the specs say there's enough height.

The measurements are same. Cooler height is from base to tip of the heatpipes, or top of the fan which ever is taller. Case is from top of CPU to side panel. So they are exactly about same place. There sometimes is bit extra on case side as some manufacturers measure to flat sidepanel while theres bump to give more room. Or they might have optional fan installed there.
