Effects of mounting graphic card vertically

Hi,

I thought of mounting graphic card vertically. I feel it looks more good but i really donno if there is any negative effects that might cause my PC.

and if it is a good option to go vertical then please help me do it the right way.

if its mounted well, then there shouldn't be a problem,

the only thing is finding a good mount, otherwise you should be just fine

I'd assume that orientation would be a lot better for it,  structurally speaking. To prevent GPU sag.

One benefit is that graphic card is not blowing hot air onto motherboard.

Eh, what? All GPU fans intake. Blowers exhaust through rear, open-air blow air to every direction between shroud and PCB.

You must mean that it might have better thermals due fans having more airflow to work with.

No. I meant exactly what I said. Unless graphic card fins are parallel to the motherboard, it'll blow like half of the heat at the motherbord PCB. If it's placed vertically, it blows all air into the case on both sides.

I've only had 1 graphic card with fins parallel to the motherboard, all others, including my current AORUS GTX 1080Ti have fins perpendicular to the motherboard, meaning when it's in a slot, half of the heat blown from the heatsink goes against motherboard. I have no clue what that makes long term, but I'm guessing heating up motherboard doesn't help it...
