Posted October 28, 2019 Hi, I thought of mounting graphic card vertically. I feel it looks more good but i really donno if there is any negative effects that might cause my PC. and if it is a good option to go vertical then please help me do it the right way. Blowers exhaust through rear, open-air blow air to every direction between shroud and PCB. Unless graphic card fins are parallel to the motherboard, it'll blow like half of the heat at the motherbord PCB. If it's placed vertically, it blows all air into the case on both sides. I've only had 1 graphic card with fins parallel to the motherboard, all others, including my current AORUS GTX 1080Ti have fins perpendicular to the motherboard, meaning when it's in a slot, half of the heat blown from the heatsink goes against motherboard. I have no clue what that makes long term, but I'm guessing heating up motherboard doesn't help it... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
