@colonel_mortis Make it possible to save drafts of posts or even better auto save when writing posts so we do not have to write everything all at once and we can continue writing and post when we are done at a later time.

There is such thing called "test posts", it's below all the subforums, near the bottom of LTT forum's front page.

originally meant for testing formats, but no one could stop you from posting your half done posts there. Only you and the mods can see what you post there and they dont care if your stuff is incomplete, it's not made public anyways.

The subtitle says "Post your tests, drafts etc here. Topics posted here are only visible to you and staff."

 

So you can come back, edit etc. and once you're done copy & paste it to a real topic. Or, you could just use Notepad on your local PC and copy & paste once you're done

The forum will automatically save any unposted text in the text entry box AFAIK.

Just leave the page. When you come back to it most if not all of it will come right back.

Yes, just try it. It remembers your unposted text in each threads. very cool feature.

I understand now I can start writing a post and then I can come back later and continue writing and it will still be there I just need to click the text box to see it. Thanks everyone!

Be aware that the autosave is intended as a backup, to recover your post if you accidentally navigate away or whatever. It isn't saved forever, and under certain circumstances (such as low disk space) it can get cleared or not get saved at all. I would recommend using Test Posts for drafts that you want to keep around for more than a few hours.

Or use word, wordpad, Google docs, etc.... then just copy paste and post when your ready.
