What is the best wa to ship a Motherboard?

Im currently selling part from my old prebuild system. 

 

Since it was a prebuild i dont have the original packaging for the parts. 

 

I managed to get my hands on some Anti stattick bags, but i dont have the piece of plastik that protects the pins in the socket (intel z97)

 

i still have 5 days until the auction is over and i need to ship.

 

Does anyone have an Idea on how to substitute it? 

 

Can i just take a piece of cardboard and tape it on top?

If it's just the motherboard, realistiically you don't need to protect the socket. I'd just leave it alone. It's not like you're going to have anything else in the box.

Actually I just got a motherboard in the mail, and the socket cover came off in transit. The bubble wrap around the board got into the socket and wreaked havoc on the pins.

well im going to wrap it in bubble wrap and a antistatik bag, so it might be safe, but id rathe not take chances. 
also the buyer might not be too happy to recieve it wihtout any protection

I can't help but think if it were properly packed, it wouldn't have had any movement to tear that way...

Not covering the socket is a liability no matter what, trust me. Those pins are way too fragile.

Not if it's a proper bag. I have no idea how you'd rip a decent antistatic bag, especially if the item was properly packaged so that it has no movement.

well thanks to everyone  for helping me out. 

 

I got a pice of cardboard taped in front of the socket, its in a anti statik bag, and i will wrap that in bubble wrap.
