Stuck at 60hz

Hello, I recently purchased an Acer Predator 27 inch XB271HU and it is supposed to be a 144hz OC 165hz monitor. However I am stuck at 60hz. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Go into the Nvidia control panel (assuming its an Nvidia gpu) and on the display panel, change the refresh rate from 60 -> 144

 

If that's not an option, what video cable are you using?

It is advisable that you use Display Port cables as well... HDMI can be hit and miss if it's the correct revision that could work with the demand on many monitors.

I was stuck at 60Hz too when i tried my 165Hz Omen 27 monitor with HDMI.

 

SWITCH TO DISPLAY CABLE - DISPLAY PORT. It will work fine.

This might be a bit far fetched, but i think you need to use display port, as HDMI isn't the greatest for high refresh rates and high resolutions.
