HWID Ban

Hello all.

 

I just have a general question that i need to get off of my chest! So i have been HWID banned on multiple games, Fortnite in particular (I am a programmer and was testing a few "illicit" programs in the background whilst i played). I was thinking of making a new PC, but keeping the graphics card just so i could save a bit of money. I currently have a GTX 1060, and plan on buying a new CPU, mobo, case, harddrive and ssd, ram etc. I was just wondering, if i were to make a completely new build but use my current graphics card on my new build, would i still be HWID banned on Fortnite?

 

Just needed to ask before i started buying parts for my new pc.

Hardware bans seem to be linked to HDD only; at least that is what Google tells me.

I wonder if anyone actually ever believes the "I wasn't cheating, I only had the cheating-software installed and running for testing-purposes" - excuse.
