I'm planing to build a new gaming pc is this config good?

AMD Ryzen 5 3600

MSI B450M Pro-VDH Max

Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 Super 8GB

512GB Intel 660p SSD (NVMe)

500W Bequiet Pure Power 11

Kolink Stronghold Case

 

It's about 1000€

It's good, but if you want the 660p then the smallest amount is the 1TB version. The cache size on the 512gb is just way to small to be useful.

Especially if you want to put the OS on it, not just use it as a game drive.

The 3600 is a better value than the 3700 for gaming.

 

2080Ti, you mean?  Why on earth recommend that?  It's more than his entire budget for the machine.

It's a mixed bag, the R5 3600 is a great pick but the B450M Pro-VDH is mediocre... might work out for the 3600 but that's it.

 

the 660p best SSD value status only shows up at 1tb and 2tb, if you gonna pick 512gb you can find similarly priced TLC based NVMe drives.

 

PSU should be fine...

 

Without knowing your market it's hard to advise in depth though... so yeah

I would use a sata SSD and get a 1TB drive. NVMe's speed won't make a performance difference in gaming.

Yes, unlesa you're planning on doing some high resolution video editing of your games then yeah I could see the need for an NVMe drive.

NNMe isn't noticeable forr gaming, it requires specific use cases.

 

But NVMe can be as cheap as SATA these days, so it's more about storage per $, go with whatever gets you more for less.

The NAND in the Intel is cheaper to produce (at a given performance level) and not as "good" in some ways as the Crucial, but for our needs it's basically indistinguishable in use.
