umm yeah Cooling is O.K.

38 at idle and maybe 70 at load

Also oi can buy a new cooler if thats a prob

You could try default voltage and just set multiplier in bios to 35 and do stability test. If all is ok, the oc is done.

What I'd do stability test - Prime 95 Small ffts for at least 15 minutes. If games or programs crash after that then it obviously isn't stable.

If doesn't boot then just clear cmos and try again on lower frequency or rise default core voltage. Though your CPU cooling would need to be upgraded for the best result.

So Can anyone help me Oc'ing my Q9650 (3 ghz)

I have a msi G41-S03 Motherboard.

And everything is set to auto

And plz tell me about Vcore also can i OC with Vcore set to auto.

I want to acheive 3.5 Ghz or more

Do you have decent CPU cooling and have you checked CPU temperatures under load?

If it's 70C under load at stock speed, you'll definitely want a new cooler before overclocking.  The maximum rated temperature for the Q9650 is 71.4C according to Intel.  Some people push them beyond that, but it's best to keep it below.
