Ryzen 3700x Overclocking 4.175 AC 1.24375v | Ram 3400Mhz CL16

So I got my new ring and I m learning how to OC. I achieved some quite good results with my 3700x using Ryzen Master Software with Cinebench r20 scoring over 5000. Temps under stress test are no more than 60 Celcius which is also amazing. I have an issue though, when I try to copy these settings to my motherboards BIOS, an Asus x570 TUF, it seems that the Core voltage wont hold the value. Thus when I am running a stress test while OCed on bios, I will get similar score, but the temps will rise as much as 70 Celcius. If I turn on the Ryzen Master profile, temps go back down to 60ish.


Something else worth noting, is that while on BIOS OC, Ryzen master reports 1.11111 Core voltages instead of 1.24375.

 

For the Ram, I used the values from Ryzen DRAM Calculator 1.6.2 and they work just fine. I will have to run some longer benchmarks to make sure tonight. I tried several other profiles like 3400 cl14 but they don't seem to work or they are not stable and the voltages are climbing close or over 1.4v.

 

Anyone has experience OCing Ryzen 3000 on this motherboard? I could use a hand.

normal that bios and software give different results, if you plan on doing it through the bios you basically have to do everything all over again

Is it normal? How so? And how do you explain a different vCore vallue in bios and in Windows? To me it seems that BIOS setting is not being applied at all. It keeps the core speed, but not the vCore vallue.

On my Asus X470 BIOS there is something called AMD Overclocking, it's a sub-menu in advanced, and it totally overrides the values you set in the normal place in your BIOS. Ryzen Master uses this AMD Overclocking section to store it's settings. If you want to use the normal BIOS settings you have to go and clear out this section.
