Can I use 1600 MHz DDR3 on 1060/1333MHz DDR3 only Motherboard ?

Go to solution Solved by emosun,

Buy the correct ram then in the first place if you cannot afford to make a mistake.

Plenty of ebay store ship world wide so location shouldnt be an issue

ddr3 and older isn't quite as user friendly as ddr4 so it's kind of a tossup if your board will know to run it slower or will just not run at all with unsupported memory

That guy might be using a older platform such 3rd gen Core processor i think.

I'm using HP Pro 3330MT which's motherboard (Foxconn 17A0) supports only 1060 MHz / 1333 MHz Dual Channel. Recently I want to increase my ram but 1600MHz DDR3 is the only option I can buy now.
Would my motherboard support 1600Mhz?

Well, of course it will work, but only at 1333MHz.

U just can go the official site that want to buy and check that motherboard memory support,or U can just go AliExpress and search.(Actually the AliExpress has a lot of secondhand board because it  is the TaoBao in China and btw i am a Chninese。)
