Displayport to Dvi D duallink 144hz not working

I have an issue, recently got a RTX 2070 With 3 displayports, 1 Displayport mini and 1 HDMI, but my main gaming monitor Benq XL2411Z Only has HDMI, DVI-D and VGA, and HDMI dosent support 144hz, so I bought an adapter for Displayport to DVI-D but Nvidia control panel shows only an option for 60hz, and none for 144hz, anyone know why I can't change it or what to do?

When you click on the drop down box for refresh rate does it list 144hz at all in the options, possibly greyed out? If not the adapter you bought could be what doesn't support 144hz. Does the adapter you bought say it supports 144hz or higher?

Kompatibel med DVI 1.1 op til 1.65Gbps
