Choosing a new laptop: i5 8250u, MX110 vs Ryzen 5 3500u, Vega 8

Hey guys, i'm looking for a new laptop and i'm wondering between these configurations:

I5 8250u, 4GB RAM, MX110 or Ryzen 5 3500u, 4GB RAM, Vega 8 iGPU

I will mainly use it for Office, photo editing, and games like CSGO, AoE Definitive Edition 

So which configurations fit my needs? Note that most laptops in my country are sold with 4GB of RAM only, 8GB models are quite expensive here

The Ryzen 5 3500U seems to be a very marginally superior pick, processor wise the i5 8520U can be considered like 2% faster but the Vega 8 is faster than the MX110... eh... it barely matters which one you're getting due to how close they are but yeah given the Vega 8 is a tad better and you're barely losing anything CPU wise I'd go with Ryzen (specially if it's the cheaper one).

Ryzen 5 3500U Vega 8 equal to MX130. so yeah the ryzen pretty pack as one i5 with 130. al though the CPu is weaker. but the gpu is stronger

The CPU performance is similar but the Vega 8 is faster - the MX110 is a rebrand of the 920MX

PIck the one with better battery life. Which is likely the Intel.

Well the one with I5 8250u is the Asus X407UB, which costs 600$, whereas the Ryzen 5 3500u one is the Lenovo S145-15API and it's 500$. The salesman recommended the Asus X407UB because of the dedicated GPU lol. I guess he underestimated the Vega 8 due to it being an iGPU

Likely, but Vega 8 is going to serve you right!

 

For a whole 100$ less yeah I'd go with the Lenovo.
