gtx 1050ti @82 degrees C

Deciduous

when playing games my gtx 1050ti gets to around 82 degrees, i have seen videos and forum posts saying that their 1050ti doesnt really get above 70 degrees.

this is my specific gpu: https://www.amazon.com.au/EVGA-GeForce-Support-Graphics-04G-P4-6251-KR/dp/B01MEFABEL/ref=sr_1_1?crid=EGD0GI5ZTZWD&keywords=evga+gtx+1050+ti&qid=1567914306&s=computers&sprefix=evga+gt%2Ccomputers%2C352&sr=1-1-catcorr

i have a ryzen 3 1200 overclocked to 3.6ghz

my case has only got 3 120mm intakes, i can put an extra 3 fans, 2 at the top 1 at the back. should i look into getting some outtake fans? if i should how many of the three should be outtakes?

Thanks if anyone responds. :D

Here is my case:

get two outtakes.  Idk if it will help your temps that much but should def drop the interior of the case several degrees.

At least just move one of the fronts to the back

86C is nothing to be worried about if that's all it gets to while under load.

Set a custom fan curve for the GPU and have at least one fan for exhaust. The hot air cannot vent out fast enough, it is necessary to have proper air flow. I have just two case fans, one for intake and one for exhaust and my temps are fine

Did you clean it? Also you should have at least one exhaust, even a cheapo $3 will work fine.

yeah u might give cleaning it a try, what should i use to clean it? Air or like alcohol or something. But when the system was only about 3 months old it still was about 82C, but i see a little bit of dust on it so i'll give it a try.

thanks

i will get some exhaust fans. but idk how to make a custom fan curve. i dont know what speed the fan should spin when it is a specific temperature. Any tips?

thanks

Just use a can of compressed air to blow the dust from the heatsink.

Honestly, i don't know either but i think you can set it in BIOS somewhere. I just got a $3 fan an connected it to the psu directly so it spins at 100% all the time.

I set my GPU fan curve using MSI Afterburner. You can click and drag the dots to move the line, you will have to play around with the curve and find what works for you.

Below is the custom fan curve for my GTX 970 blower card.

86C is a bit warm. I wouldn't want any of my components running over mid 70s for extended periods of time.

OP, look into adding an exhaust fan or two. Also, play around with the fan curve for the GPU. You might also want to get some canned air and clear any dust out of it.

If your case has any filtered intakes, be sure to clean those regularly as dust can build up on them!
