Heya, building a custom PC and just wanted a little input on this build ive planned for the new Ryzen

Anything i should change? or is it all good matching?

 

Also does anyone have any Ultra-wide monitor suggestions for this?

Overkill PSU, bad deal board (Asus TUF WIFI and Gigabyte Elite WiFi offer more for the price), no RAM upgrade path, 2070S is a much better deal for how close its performance is to the 2080.

Timings are way important than speed. That there is just a page out of AMDs marketing. 

 

While speed helps, a 3000mhz kit with good timings is better than 3600mhz with standard timings. 

 

People are better off aiming for B-die or E-die memmory.

From what i know, you can lower the frequency of the ram and get tighter timings. Don't remember where i heard that though, maybe in ltt's ryzen overclocking guide

You can do that, but whats the point when you can aim for Micron E-die and Samsung B-die instead.

 

Also cheap 3600mhz kits really arent better than cheaper 3200mhz kits due to poorer timings on the 3600mhz kits.

Yeah i didnt mean to put 3000mhz, thats my mistake, ive changed it to 3600, i wanted the RGB vengeance, wanted 4 x 8gb as rgb instead of 2 x 16gb

the 750w PSU is only £8 cheaper or something

 

i want 4 sticks of ram for the looks, want ones with RGB and all my other stuff is corsair, is there anything else from corsair that i could pick that is RGB?

As others have mentioned above,

 

go for a 2*16GB ram kit, (if you even need 32GB)

psu you chose is overkill. Something like Corsair RM550x or similar I’ll be enough.

 

as others have pointed out, the mobo you chose isn’t exactly ‘good’. Opt for one of

the

suggestions given above ☺️

 

Elsewise looks fine to me -  I don’t know sabrent  Rocket, so can’t judge on that ssd.

Would strongly suggest a 2 stick kit.

And I still suggest dual channel for your ram. Ryzen works more efficient on dual channel. Now I don’t know everything about 3rd gen ryzen; but for the 2 previous generations, dual channel is better.

 

if you want 4 modules just for the looks, certain vendors sell ‘fake’ Modules just to

fill up a the empty space

Not unless you want to spend a lot on memmory. Otherwise just stick with the choice.

Corsair do dummy Ram kits for the RGB Pro so you can still fill up all 4 slots but don't have to worry about upgrades in the future as you can just remove them to install actual Ram in it's place.

The kit above is 3000MHz CL15 but you can tweak it using Ryzen Dram calculator and Thaiphoon burner.
