I don't really have a favorite, I wasn't into PC's at the time but I do have an E7500, P4 1.6Ghz and P4 2.2Ghz in my parts bin, also your build....it confuses and worries me.

"Cheap" and damn great CPU's, definitely the king of it's time. As for a favourite I have to go with my old Pentium II 233Mhz, the CPU of my first ever computer. That thing served me well for so long.

but I also love the E8400

I had a E6300 then a E6700 and finally a E8400. Overclocking beasts. Ran the E8400 at 4.0Ghz for years.  Was a beast.

Nothing to see here - move along.

E8400. Have a golden chip that still does 4.3 Ghz 5 years later. Amazing chip, running a Minecraft server on it now.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Core 2: T9400 because it's the one in my laptop and is undervolted a ton.

P4: P4 3.0GHz HyperThreading because it's the one I had until 2012. (I had a awesome Compaq laptop with the 3.2GHz version. That thing was top of the line, cost 3 grand new. Got it for $50 with 2 other laptops because it had a broken DC jack.)

My favorite is the one I currently have, the E7400 (which is OC'ed to ~3.5 and limited by the lack of cooling i have). If I could for cheap, I would upgrade to the Q6600 because that's a great chip.

What is your favorite Pentium and/or Core 2? My favorite Pentium would be the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.73Ghz 1066Mhz with hyper-threading .

Well if it's out of ones I owned I'd say the Pentium E2200, I had mine clocked at 3.4GHz (+1.2) on stock cooling all of its life (5) years and it still runs.

But the Q6600 / E8400 were pretty renowned chips.
