Dell r710 pci 8x gpu

Is it possible to run the dell r710 server with gpu? If so im intrested in both seeing a video of this and possible available gpus that could be supported ?

What would you use the GPU for? Whether it's possible depends on the particular riser you have. Some servers only come with risers that have 25W PCIe slots, rather than the full 75W.

Yes it can be done watched several youtube videos on it but the question is was it worth it, you can get the optional x16 riser but stated power may be an issue you will need to tap a power source to obtain it as from what I've seen both on my R710 and the video's there are no molex or sata power on the MOBO many older cards with lower power requirements will work new ones not so much and I don't think you will find any comprehensive list of what will or will not work as this is in the hackers realm

As someone who has several R710's still in production, you can put a card in there, but as stated above there are no free power connectors.
