isn't a b450 motherboard too cheap for a 3900x? At least an x470. And why go for 3000 mhz while 3600 is more stable

well... this b450 can hold a 2700x maxed out, so i don't see why it couldn't hold a 3900x. if you really want a x570, get an aorus elite or prime-p

3600 isn't going that well on a tomahawk, but if you really feel like it, you can always oc a 3000 mhz memory stick to 3200+ mhz (generally speaking)

it's dependent on the motherboard's VRMs, there are very good B450 boards that can take a 3900x and crappy X470 boards that can't on the market.

Guys should I get this build but with a 2060 super or an 5700xt ??? I’ve heard the 5700xt is loud and hot, so this makes me skeptical. Is the 2060 super good for video editing with premier pro? Or would I need the 5700xt? Definelty don’t wanna change my motherboard as don’t want to download bois flashback, so I’m happy with the x570. Budget is 1400 but I’m pretty set on all the parts, just need some advice with the gpu ??48D09DF8-3303-476B-AEB4-0732D40AE043.thumb.png.c69e963b0344c5ac0de539a351620078.png

You could wait for custom 5700xt or pay 100 pounds more for an RTX 2070 Super, pick your poison

higher what, capacity? Not fitting the budget I'm afraid.

Older board can also be decent.

If you want a 2070 Super and X570 board (the cheapest one that's better than the B450 Tomahawk), that's already £200 extra. The 3600MHz kit deal linked before is already gone.

The 5700XT is about as loud and hot as the NVIDIA cards (so, not much at all). It's fine. Go for the 5700 XT

Although, do wait for partner cards (i.e. the ones without blower coolers) as that's a pretty good idea, plus it's usually cheaper

Never cheap out on a power supply.  A new case can be bought next year and the £25 can be taken to the local recycling center or sold for £15

i agree with another poster wait for the AIB designed cards or for water locks from fluid gaming.

It’s only 550W

also X570 doesn’t make sense today.

which is still more than enough for a 5700XT and 2700.

Premier Pro does a bit better with Nvidia cards, so I would stick with one of those.

people have been saying the exact same thing for years and yet only the radeon 7, fury X and Vega 64 LC have gotten close to 500w from the wall, and that's with overclocked and/or HEDT CPUs.

The chipset is irrelevant. There are lots of crap X470 boards.

R9 295X2 drew 450W from the wall at stock (AMD literally says so), but that was a dual GPU card that was shit in power cosnumption too

Was only referring to single GPU graphics cards.

What’s coming in 5 years is there anyway to know how much power a 14 gen intel or 8th gen ryzen is going to use or what other things will change by then?  Sure if you want to buy a £65 PSU that’s going to be used for 5-10 years and thousands of dollars worth of computer parts go for it.
