Skype or Razer Comms?

Aleks

So my friend wants to use Razer Comms but my question is, does it impact PC performance noticeably more than skype? All info on it is appreciated!

Razer Comms is the better option but very few people actively use it, I would just use Teamspeak.

Case = Bitfenix Prodigy, Motherboard = P8Z77 - I Deluxe, CPU = 3570k @ 4.2GHz, RAM = 2x 8GB G-Skill Ripjaws, GPU = Sapphire 7950 Boost Edition, Storage = 256GB Samsung 840 Pro.

Unless you're running a Pentium 4, how would any of these affect performance?

Ryzen 9 5950x | NH-D15 | ROG STRIX X570-F | G.Skill 32GB DDR4 | MSI Ventus RTX 3080 | WD Black SN850 1TB PCIe 4 | Samsung 850 EVO + 860 EVO 1TB | Corsair 5000D Airflow

Well Razer software usually runs at startup and good put a damper on your boot speeds :P

Skype is the worst thing ever. And Comms wants to reset your PC every time it has a chance...

I'm happy with my TeamSpeak, Raidcall if you are poor

You can change it to where it won't auto-start on boot.

_______

But I prefer Teamspeak. I'd use Razer Comms but it's a bit buggy for me.

Id rather use Mumble for low latency especially if you play alot of games that require that fast time

It's not like you can't disable it....

I never liked teamspeak, but then again i never was into the whole "hardcore voice call gaming" scene... I use Skype everyday for all purpose. I'm not saying it is the best of them, it has waaay to many flaws (!!! <_< ) but it is user friendly and good for everyday casual chat and casual online gaming.

Perfomance wise...

Exactly my thoughts and my experience, since im on a pentium 4 atm -_-

It impacts performance less than skype. People really meed to realize that skype is in no way meant for voice chat in games at all.

I find it easy, I already have my friends and there are a heap of groups that are already around. You can just join one, make a few friends from there and just have a group chat. I like Steam over anything else at it enables me to talk to my friends, buy games at low as prices and store them.

Steam for me is what I want, it allows me to store and buy games and talk to my friends, if i don't ant to play games though I can still talk to them while I'm here.
