Hello! So i am planning a new build for august and i really want the 3rd gen ryzen cpus, anyways i need the perfect ram kit that's 32gb for ryzen, my main uses will be gaming, simulations like DCS, And alot of adobe premier pro and google tabs, I need the perfect kit under $200, I don't need RGB but im okay with it, prefer white and silver sticks (my theme)

Some DDR4 3200 is pretty nice

LPX overclocks good too, you can likely squeeze out a few extra MHz should you need it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Read somewhere that ryzen 3rd gen needs atleast 3733mhz to be optimal

not in your budget my friend, and besides, there's "optimal" and there's great performance regardless. Like I said, the LPX kit can be overclocked to help reach the sweet spot.

Ballistix aren't binned as well as LPX so you'd have a better chance of winning silicon with the Corsair kit. But if you were to stick to the 3200 rated speed, it's gonna perform about the same, except it does have better timings.

So lpx is the best option tight?

Actually we don't really know how well the new AMD CPUs work with different memory configurations at the moment.

Best wait for Reviews of the CPu's and the different motherboards before deciding on anything... the way some of the motherboards have been setup.

Check out this guys in-depth analysis on some of the x570 motherboards and specifically how the RAM side of things have been configured..

All Zen CPU's share one thing in common, and nothing about this will change. Zen as an architecture loves RAM. It responds much more potently to faster RAM than Intel CPU's do due to whats called Infinity Fabric. Infinity Fabric is a very high speed link that relies on fast, low latency RAM to perform it's best. So, the LPX RAM @fasauceomerecommended is probably your best new kit as it is fast and relatively low latency.

However, you can find very good deals used. I shaved $80 off my RAM order by buying a used kit off Ebay. Arrived in 2 days on free shipping, sticks were a matched pair and showed 0 signs of wear.

Also do not be afraid to overclock your RAM! I gained ~100 points in Cinebench R20 on an i5-8600k by switching from XMP to manual overclocking.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Wall Of Fame (Informative people/People I like): @Glenwing @DrMacintosh @Schnoz @TempestCatto @LogicalDrm @Dan Castellaneta

Why not wait til the chips are out and then you'll know?  No sense planning a build 2 months out, especially for parts not even released yet.

Well, we sort of do know its not worse than Zen +. And Zen universally loves high ramspeed due to IF being linked to it.

3000/3200 mhz is the cost to price sweetspot
