Streaming, 4k gaming, VR gaming, online schooling, and customer service representative PC for small apartment

Opinions on this build? I'm an amateur but I'm keeping the i9 CPU and would prefer if there was a case with an optical drive CD/DVD/BluRay/CDR/CDRW

Don't get a 9900k and a 2070. You don't need that good a CPU for gaming anyhow. Get an i7 and a 2080, and try to see if you can squeeze a few more dollars for getting a grey market Windows licence and reconsidering the need in a 3 tb HDD (will you actually use all of it?).

Good looking system. You may need more than 550W especially for overclocking and longevity. I agree with the above comment that you can get windows for a lot less, or don't activate and get it for free. Windows still allows free upgrades to win10 if you have an older windows activation key lying around.

You may not be able to get a stable 60 fps on AAA games at 4k on a 2070 but you will for a lot of games. In my opinion, you don't lose a lot of detail by dropping down to 1440p on demanding games. 1440p is significantly better than 1080p, but 4k is only slightly better than 1440p

I'm not sure how amazing 4k gaming results you'll get with a 2070, that's all. Your GPU should be a much greater part of your overall budget at 1500$, seeing as it's the part that will actually be tested at time goes on.

An i7 9700k should be fine for many years, but a GPUs life cycle (in terms of performance being adequate, not degradation) is shorter.

Are you going to be writing to DVDs and Blue rays often? If not and you just want it to watch movies then you should just get a Blu-ray player instead. If you get an optical drive in addition to buying a specific case you also need to pay for software that can actually play blue ray movies.

@Justinm178 when your build is over $1000, ideally half of that budget should be allocated towards the GPU, maybe even.more depending on what deals you get. Also, since ryzen 3000 is coming out, and almost all leaks show it beats Intel anyways at cheaper, just wait for that, it would be foolish not to.
