Problem with my my HDD, Aviable space smaller than Material space

Hello, this is my first question on LTT.

So, i got this HDD from a friend because he didn't used it anymore. On the sticker it says : "500 GB", however when i look up in disk manager there's only 300GB aviable. 

I would like to use it as an external drive, but apparently there is 200GB gone in the matrix, any ideas ?

(i'm talking about disk 1, 0 is my OS SSD)

Looks like the sticker is wrong. When your friend bought the drive, he might have gotten scammed.

A refurbished drive maybe ? with some kind of trickery on the capacity ?
