wane you pres @ you get all the users in LTT forum.
i think that it will be convenient to have it show automatically on the top all the people that participated in the topic/post first and under the people that you search for.

This would need to be done by people who make forum software. You aren't first to suggest it, and we really would like it to happen. But the devs aren't keen of changing stuff that is already working to work even better. So this might take few more years.

There's post for them in Off Topic section. Otherwise posting them outside status updates isn't encouraged. This isn't Facebook, Reddit or some other place more known for those.

Did this forum get the latest Invision community software?

On another forum, I see that IPS latest version allows gifs.

What do you mean? Gifts have been supported since start. I haven't seen them in a while (which is good thing), but there would be bug reports if they wouldn't work anymore.

I’m talking about gifs inside the post editor.  A special gif panel where you can choose and insert popular gifs.

The gif button is not currently planned for this site, but it has nothing to do with this topic.

Why? I got blog post totalling over 200 threads asking this since the beginning. And there's no good reasons given. Only would have been notifications, but they already work (I know a site which has even more aggressive than this, but still).
