I have seen similar antennas in hospitals for the pager system.

What is this? It’s at my fitness center. Is it a motion detector or an awesome wifi antenna? There’s one on both ends of this room.

It could have something to do with their alarm/security system.  Where I work we have our fire alarms routing through a voip phone system, with a dedicated landline back up, and fall back of a cellular antenna connection. (we are a educational institution.)
