(8+6 pin) will it be okay if I use 2 molex connectors with an adapter to get an 8 pin. Posted June 10, 2019 No. I don't know what PSU you're talking about, but if it doesn't have a PCIe 8pin connector, it's going to be crap, or really old. Saying you're poor, doesn't make it suddenly okay to use crap PSU.
Posted June 10, 2019 I don't think that PSU is suitable for your GPU.. it seems like it's either old or very low quality which is exactly what you don't want from a PSU.

It doesn't really have a name, as far as I can tell it's probably an unbranded PSU included in a Rosewill case. Edit: The aforementioned PSU's model number is 'DR-8500BTX' Edited June 10, 2019 by XR6
 I just want to play real games, I am a kid, have been playing crappy mobile games all my life. If my PSU isn’t enough, what’s a good budget friendly option? Posted June 10, 2019 just get a cheaper used GPU and pony up for a better PSU, the potential cost if that thing blows up and kills something would be way more than the cost of a new PSU. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
 I mentioned a good budget friendly option The cx550 (2017) from corsair (not the modular one) And then a rx 570 and the total cost will be exactly the same or less
 Posted June 10, 2019 Author So will this work at all, like any chance? And also how does starcoaster know it can only draw 75w from the gpu?
