Selling a PC need estimate

Hey, so i was thinking of selling my pc to buy a better system around this time since its been around a few months. I've got an idea of what I want and the price, though I want to know how much i can sell my system:

AB350M ASRock AM4 motherboard

Ryzen 5 1500x (Non OC)

GTX 1060 6GB

8GB Patriot Signature (2x4GB) DDR4-2400

EVGA 500W Bronze 80+

Be quiet rock slime CPU cooler

DYIPC Orange and black Computer Case

250GB SanDisk SSD

500GB Laptop Hybrid Hard Drive

An 1080p Acer  Monitor.

What I want to upgrade to is:

i5-9400f

(Some kind of Mother that doesnt need Bios but doesnt exceed 90$)

250GB SSD

(Different) GTX 1060 6gb or maybe a 1660TI

(Similar PSU)

16GB (2x8GB) Ram DDR 2400 - 3000

Ryzen 3000 was announced as coming out in July. If they know anything about PCs, they'll be waiting till then to get anything new.

Yes but Ryzen 2nd gen and 1st gen will drop even more than they have the last couple months so you might want to consider that too.

Yeah but people might wait because prices will come down drastically on 1st and 2nd gen Ryzen.

I think you should price it around 500-600. That’s where similar computers are priced at in my area on Craigslist

Even if the 3000 series comes out there isnt a guarantee that they will outright beat some of their lower gen counters. Or more realistically they wont be too far ahead that a nice OC would match/ beat them

Why would you sell the entire rig and then turn around and buy similar parts, save for the CPU/motherboard? Sell the CPU and motherboard for $200-220, buy two more sticks of the same ram you already have, and buy your new CPU/motherboard. Ensure your new board has 4 DIMM slots and you're good.

You should definitely read up on them, the new 3000 series isn't messing around the performance increase from even the 2000 series is really good. 1st gen isn't going to be even a close match. Depending on how cheap the 1000 series chips become they might be a good low budget option, but in no way is the want/need for 1st gen going to go up. Even overclocked heavily 1st gen won't be able to keep up. The mid to high end 1st gens could keep up with the mid range 2nd gen ryzen chips but 3000 is going to be way to far off. From the specs listed and what's been showcased the new 3000 series is going to blow just about anything out of the water especially at the price point they're releasing at. And apaparently Intel is hurrying to get their 10nm chips ready for release in the next little bit so they can try to keep up.

The PC you want to sell is around $800 to buy all the same/similar parts brand new. I can see it selling for maybe $600 depending on condition. But it would be smarter to just sell the CPU, MOBO, and Ram, then just buy the new CPU, Ram, Mobo you want to upgrade too. It would be kind of dumb to sell everything then buy pretty much the same stuff again in the new one.

Thanks for that. I can probably sell the CPU/MOBO/Ram combo for like 250 with the cooler since i only bought the parts a few months back.

It turns out that I would need to sell the entire System (Minus the CPU) As alot of the parts I want to use would be either outdated or will be pointless as one of the motherboards and such I want is Red and black (Since the cheaper boards are small and dull) The case is Black and Orange.so it would be thrown off, and I dont have Anti-static film for the components nor most of the boxes minus the Mobo and ram ones.So I need to keep them in. Plus, Most people dont buy computers around my area without at least a Hard drive. Best case I can buy a 1050ti from a pal of mine and sell the PC as a whole.
