I used to play a lot of MW/MW2, not so much of MW3 but still had fun in split screen.

 

If they keep it clean without all the Titanfall-like jumping and futuristic shit I may buy it.

I just watched the preview vid on FB, it actually looks pretty good. The last COD I bought was WW2, so this might actually get my money again.

It's called "Modern Warfare" and at least on the face of it, they're going back to a similar theme as MW/MW2 and getting away from the wall jumping/jetpack stuff.

I just saw it and it definitely gives off a darker and more grand vibe than the other cod games. I think the direction they were going for was a crossover of mw and ghosts but I haven't seen any game play so not sure. but from what I've read definitely more of the dark and serious tone.

chances of no more lootboxes are nearly zero. 

That said, it does look like they're focusing on the campaign this time around, and a few people who've played the first couple levels had a positive impression.
