Does a cooler hard drive perform better?

Hi,
I was just wondering if a cooler hard disk perform better than a hotter one, or if a hard disk performs better in winter?

Here, by high temperature, I mean 45*-46*C which my HDD stays at during summer. and by a cold temperature I mean 8*-10*C .

HDD has specific temperatures it works best at. The speed stays the same, but failure rates differ massively. If 45c is the HDD temp not ambient then that is a good temp, if it is a normal hdd then over 50 is a bit iffy, but 45 is good. 30-40c is the ideal temp, but 20-50 is good, very minescule failure difference.

But if the HDD itself is 8-10c in the winter then that is bad for the HDD in the other direction, it is too cold.

I only see your reply if you @ me.
