Asus P5KC bios flash

Hi,

I'm trying to get my Asus P5KC mobo working.

Trust me, I've tried everything, video card is working, cpu, ram as well.

Everytime I try to boot the pc up there's no video output. Every fan starts spinning and even the ODD seems to be working but then it suddenly reboots and stays turned on.

Since I've got no video output and the GPU works on different mobo with same CPU socket I assume maybe the BIOS is bricked. At least it's the last thing that came up to my mind.

To flash the bios I need Crash Free Bios, but I could not find it anywhere. It was probably included with the mobo when bought. Do you have any clue where could I find it?

I mean I could take the .ROM file and flash directly the EEPROM memory with the programmer. But I've got quite an old one with serial port and I find it unreal to make it work.

Do you have any idea to repair the bricked bios without the use of video output?

Thanks for any kind of help.

PS: sorry for my english, I'm not native speaker

Have you pulled the cmos batt out for 20 sec then clear the coms with either the button if it has one or shorting the pins?
