What GPU should I buy ?

*DeXTeR*

Hello i could use some help, am in dilemma which GPU to buy.

My PC specs are.

CPU i7 6700L

Memory 16GB Dominion 2800mhz

PSU Sama 650W Gold modular

Am considering to buy MANLI GeForce GTX 1660 6GB GDDR5 Gallardo  or AMD XFX Radeon RX 590 8GB Fatboy. They cost same amount of money in my country.

I know NVidia is much better but am buying GPU that could run 1-2 years good 60FPS on 1080p

PLS no Fanboy Contest NVidia and AMD :)

If you really need 2gb extra VRAM. Go AMD.

My personal recommendation is the 1660, good card and will last you.

first off, dont worry about 1-2 years, gpus can last way way longer than that, my card is like 10 years old, second dont get a gtx 1660, this isnt fanboy crap i promis but the specs arnt that dif from a 1050 so go with a 1050 or a rx 590 because they are a teeny bit better at performence

Either one would be good. They trade blows. I'd go with Nvidia.

A 1050? What? An RX 590 or GTX 1660 annihilates a 1050, not sure what you are on about.

And both are good cards. Since you're only after 1-2 years out of the gpu, it makes more sense to just go with the 1660 as you can overclock it and push it a fair bit ahead of the 590. If you want a longer, lasting non-stuttering card past that 1-2 years then the RX 590 is the better choice.

gtx 1660 is the better choice.

unless Vega 56 pricing is really odd in your country.

or if you want to save a bit and go for the rx 580

Currently I have Saphire RX 580 8gb Pulse and it really annoy me with Fans noise and Coil Whine noise Temps are also BAD 65c to 73c I dont want those temps and that noise.

I knew that this will bcm AMD NVidia fight but I just asked bcs I wanted to see if someone know better from me, I know something about PC-s but am not that pro.

This is video where I found solution why should I buy 1660

the 1660 is very much the better buy over the rx 590. rx 590 is mostly irrelevant in todays market.

You're writing nonsense, please stop spreading misinformation.

Honestly I'd just keep it because you know noise can be countered with headphones and your temps are perfectly normal for a video card, I don't know what kind of miracle you're expecting.

Using money on a sidegrade for such little issues sounds like a waste but if you can sell your current card you could go with a GTX 1660 Ti for instance which should run somewhere quieter/colder depending on the model.

I'd urge your to give it all a better though no less.

The 590/1660 arent that much better than the 580, I don't recommend moving up unless you have a larger budget because you will be wasting money just moving up to something thats only 10-20% better.  While it is an improvement, I don't think its worth spending $200-300

Try using the PSU Tier List!

The thing is I have someone who want to buy my RX 580 already so I will just add some of my money to buy new 1660 that consume less power its much less noise and a bit better performance that why only :) Or maybe I buy used 1070

1050 has the mini edition that can fit with single slot situations.

And what has that got to do with anything? The bottom line is that is the 1050 is awful. It has 2gb vram, causing stutters for days. And if you want a single slot card, surely the GTX 1650 would make a lot more sense. Why on earth would you get a card with less than 4gb vram in 2019?

ehhh because my standards arnt that high haha, i dont think talking about gpus is the best thing for me since a gtx 1050 is a miracle for me, and in my case the 1650 wont fit my pc since it has to be single slot and short because of the cooler, its a dell optiplex 780, this where the gtx 1050 ti mini comes into play,

Yes, but we're not talking about you are we...

We're talking about the person who made the thread...and they obviously don't need a single slot card.
