Moving Windows 10 License

I plan on upgrading my pc soon to very different hardware; I will be reinstalling windows on a new drive entirely, so will need to move my licence to the new pc. How would I go about that?

So long as your license is linked to your Microsoft account (search "activation settings" from the start menu), the process should be fairly seamless. Install the new hardware, install windows, log into your account, and give it a little bit of time for Windows to (re)activate the license.

If the license key is linked to your Microsoft account then just login to that, it will activate itself

 

Otherwise, there are "methods" to activate Windows though I'm not entirely sure if I'm allowed to share it.

Ah yes. Methods. No man, these methods are not allowed here apparently. You just gotta think about morality. Does it make sense to buy something twice just because?
