I’m thinking about selling my old laptop... what would be the appropriate price

Go to solution Solved by IAnthonyFX,

900~ usd at least dude, those ssd's and ram are worth quite a bit (would just leave it with one of the two, the more you put the less the buyer will value it. Though you would need to reduce the price too). If you are selling it stock, assuming it is an 8th gen i7, then 600 sounds more than fair.

Hey guys,

I’m thinking of upgrading my laptop but don’t know what price to sell it for

Its an Asus Rog laptop with a Gtx 1060 and a i7 quad core that is clocked at 3.8ghz.I bought a 500gb M.2 Crucial SSD and replaced the hard drive with a Samsung Evo 860 1Tb. I also upgraded the RAM from 8 gigs to 16.  I bought it back in September for $1200 CAD so about $890 US. The help is much appreciated!

Yeah I read that and somehow forgot it in the time it took to scroll down to your post, oops. That does make for a good laptop.

just please dont offer it saying its an i7. please specify the generation or better yet the exact model of i7. i hate when im looking through the classifields and people expect 500 bucks only for it to turn out to be first gen and them going "but its an i7".

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

That is why I bought a $500 laptop that had a 4th Gen i7-4700MQ in it, well that was 2015 so I might have got a good deal.

A few years ago I bought a CyberPower Fangbook for $500, it launched at over $2000.

Desiring only a 25% reduction from what you paid is kinda asking a lot imo

Phone 1 (Daily Driver): Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G

Phone 2 (Work): Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G 256gb

Laptop 1 (Production): 16" MBP2019, i7, 5500M, 32GB DDR4, 2TB SSD
