You have a really nice machine there! All it needs is a graphics card and you should be good to go.

The new offerings, GTX 1660, 1660TI, RTX 2060 are budget friendly and pack a good punch.

Definitely a nice machine, would be a shame if you got rid of it.

i5 7500 z170   my new rig is ryzen 2400g and b450m but planed to upgrade to ryzen 3000 still this old rig is not so old must be able to put it up to good use for old games because intel cores would need a 7700k but for the $ they ask for a 7700k honestly I don't know im in a bind...?

Throw in some budget GPU like the RX 570 and flip it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Don't know if you already bought your new PC, but 2400G isn't much of an upgrade over the i5 7500, at least in terms of gaming, look in the used market if you could find a 7700K or a 6700K, should be cheaper than 200$, if it's more than that then don't buy it

To be honest it should be waay cheaper than 200$, but people seem to think that old Intel still holds value in 2019, it's really retarded, you could also wait for Ryzen 3000 and do a CPU and Motherboard upgrade, assuming you already have DDR4 RAM, shouldn't more than 250-300$ for a CPU and Motherboard.

Excuse you. 4790K still sells for $150+, 4930K still is $200+, 5820K is still $200 to $300.

Sorry about my spelling sometimes. My $1200 laptop has a $2 keyboard.

People are selling the 4790K for more than 250$, what i'm saying is it shouldn't sell for more than 150$ especially since it's used and old, but they're selling it as if it's bought new and we are still living in 2014

That machine is worth about $350 right now, so throw in a mid tier graphics card and sell for about $500+.

For your new machine you should paint that card yellow, it would look really nice.

First Build - Ryzen 3 2200G, ASRock B450M Pro 4, MSI Gaming X GTX 1660, G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB DDR4-3000, MyDigitalSSD BPX 256 GB M.2 SSD, WD Caviar Blue 640 GB 7200 RPM HDD, Corsair Air 240, Corsair CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Semi, MSI Optix MAG24MVC, Sunsonny S-J5, Corsair M65 Pro

Ah ive decided keep both system and game on them and upgraded them for different uses but I would like to see as far I could push a 7700k with that cooler I got on it.

$130 USD ain't much of a deal, that's fairly close to the new price. eBay 570 and 470 prices are pretty great, sub $100.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
