Windows 10 On New Build

So in the future (Over this year) I have plans to build a computer.  It will be my first that I build from scratch, with hopefully:

  Processor             FX 8350

  Motherboard        MSI 970 gaming

  CPU Cooler          Corsair Hydro H60

  Graphic Card       4GB RX580

  Memory                16GB (2x8gb) Vengeance Pro 2400 DDR3

  Storage         1     1TB WD Blue (2012: 7200rpm I think)

                         2    250GB WD Blue SSD

The only problem is while I was looking at the Microsoft website, laughing at them at how much windows 10 (In Either Form) costed initially, I then looked at how much it costed now (Just for in the future when the time comes to me making the computer). £219.99. You all can already see  from the specs that I don't have an truck load of money to throw out on this, and considering that I could find most of the pieces together for about that price, I was wondering if there were any solutions you could think of for me. I am building the computer from scratch so it won't have any windows 7 product codes as well. I don't really mind if it is in  Pro or Home just  so long as it is 64 Bit.

Thanks

Okay a few things. First of all get rid of that cpu and get a ryzen 3 2200g or r5 1600. Also, go to ucdkey.com they have 14$ keys. Just install the free version of windows and activate it through that code

please don't build a new pc with amd fx, get a ryzen chip. It will be much faster, have more features and just overall better for about the same price. You can also drop the water cooler as they make much less head.

Also why win 10 pro? Do you need to add to a domain? Just get win 10 home.

Thats the price for windows. You can do other sketchy things to get it cheaper, or just not activate it and have a water mark.

Thanks All 3 Of you for responding so fast First  of all I will check both of the  websites and secondly I am considering the ryzen but my big problem is acquiring a nice mobo without spending the money that in England could buy a car

If you have any reccomendations that are reasonably cheap then the 8350 plans are out the window

Tons of them. For example, I'm using this board with a Ryzen 5 1600...

You can actually control Windows Updates completely on Pro where you can not in Home. It allows you to set a group policy. I have mine set to never notify me about updates, and only download/install when I do a manual check. I then check every 2 weeks or so. No random restarts that way, no nagging, etc.

For most uses, you really want the updates on default, and they won't really bother you normally. Thats what I do on many computers, no issues.

You can still disable and control updates many ways on home with other programs, but you shouldn't normally. If you need full control use wsus, but normally, leave it to default.

Regardless of which inexpensive motherboard you go with, I advise to make sure it has 4 DIMM slots.  For adding more RAM.  I went 2x4 with mine, and may grab another set by year end.

It's definitely gray territory, so just be aware of that. If you want to be 100% on the books you can get this OEM version: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/96RFf7/microsoft-os-kw900139

Apparently the Pro version over there in the UK is ridiculously expensive!

That 580 is good but an 8GB version would be better.   Ryzen 5 2600 looks good too, at $143 pounds.

Others may know a better GPU to balance a system with tho. What's your total budget for all this?

Also, if you're not buying within a month, just get rough ideas and wait on pricing.  A few changes coming over the following moths.

I would say my entire budget could be stretched but I'd have to put a stop at £500.Also that one looks quite nice definitely checking it out.

Yes. I would go 1600 minimum with a $500 budget or more.  If less, go with the 2200g or 2400g integrated APU's for the low budget builds.

Yes. I would go 1600 minimum with a $500 budget or more.  If less, go with the 2200g or 2400g integrated APU's for the low budget builds.

Ok I will then wait for the best 1600 price and snap it then...

After all, I am in no rush about this all.

And 3rd gen  ryzen is coming soon so it should be even cheaper then.

2x8GB and preferably 3000Mhz, although you can get a 2666Mhz kit and OC it to 3000/3200.

Basically Ryzen likes fast RAM, best if dual-channel

Just go for any of the common brands like Corsair LPX, Kingston HyperX, G.Skill TridentZ etc

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600  Heatsink: ID-Cooling Frostflow X GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 Mini 6GB RAM: KLEVV Bolt 3600Mhz (2x8GB) Mobo: ASUS B550-F ROG Strix (Wifi)  Case: Fractal Design Meshify C PSU: Deepcool DQ-M-V2L
