LMG building

henro1232

Hi

I am going to Vancouver on holiday soon and I was wondering out of interest if anyone has done/knows the following.

I would love to go to the LMG building and take pics and/or selfies outside but I don't know if the business park it is situated in is open to the public (like can you just walk around). I presume it is but also... what do you think would happen if I knocked on the door? (not that I would). It'd be really cool if Linus answered ?

They will prolly turn you away as they mentioned that they do that in a video. Best you can prolly do is take a selfie in front if they don’t see you & you don’t see if you can get in nor meet anyone.

Just turn up with something really fragile, Linus will sniff it out, come to meet you, and proceed to drop it.

I don't think they would make a big fuzz about you being outside, although you have to keep in mind it's a place business, so if you longer for too long it might get annoying.

About knocking on the door, this is what Linus thinks:

If you want to take a picture of the exterior of the building, that's totally fine. Their address is listed publicly on their website.

But please don't interrupt or bother anyone, and don't get in the way. They are all at work, and every interruption from a fan means they have to stop what they are doing and interact with you.

If you knocked on the door, there's a 99% chance that someone will come out and tell you to go away (politely) - they've had issues in the past with fans showing up randomly and frankly - being a nuisance.

That's why LMG hosts fan meetups like LTX and others, so that you have an opportunity to meet the crew and bother them and ask for selfies and ask questions, etc, without it interfering with their job.

Legally speaking, they're not going to call the cops on you - see my post above for a more elaborate answer.

The TL;DR is that if random people keep showing up unscheduled at your place of employment, turns out it's hard to get work done.

If you stay outside and aren't a nuisance (for example, don't hang around the doors or windows, don't try to get anyone's attention by waving at them, etc), then there won't be any problems.

Don't try to hang around long enough to catch one of them going in or out. It's awkward for everyone, and an inappropriate violation of their privacy and their workspace.

Honestly it's not even near Vancouver...you'll have to travel quite a ways to get to it. I don't think it's really worth it to get a picture outside the building.

just wait outside until they begin to leave, then you could meet everybody, if you bring something expensive, you could maybe even get Linus to drop it. it would be an honor for Linus to drop my PC.

On the off chance someone takes either of you seriously:

Don't do this. This is bad advice.
