Upgrade CPU or GPU

I currently have a i3-8100 and a gtx 1050 and I have $350(I have $400 but tax is a b****) to put into my pc. What should I upgrade first? I plan on upgrading both eventually. I play gta v, fortnite, and division 2. I want more FPS. Please respond with links to graphic cards or cpus depending on which one will help!

if you have an i3 8100 with a GTX 1050 and your main purpose with the computer is gaming, buying a GTX 1660 Ti will be much more noticeable gaming performance uplift.

Right now? none because the i3 8100 is already sufficient to drive a weak GTX 1050 to it's full potential.

Easy way to decide.

 

Play the games u play and check both CPU usage and GPU usage, which ever one is maxed out whilst the other is not, is the one u want to upgrade.

What you want is either the GTX 1660 or GTX 1660 Ti.

Oh... a DELL prebuild... that makes things a lot more complicated, the power supply in it might be insufficient for an i7 8700 RTX 2060 combination.

 

Gotta be careful with proprietary stuff too, we don't know if it's compatible.

Kinda? That definitely works if it's the CPU, but if there's no bottleneck shouldn't a GPU always be operating at ~100%
